Everyone is welcome here.

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you by having you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous,” and that’s fine with us! So come in, enjoy the refreshing atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. Check out these FAQs to find more information about what you can expect on your first visit.

Where do I go when I get there?

Come on in the main entrance. When you walk in, come on in to the sanctuary and find a seat. After the service, we invite you to stay for a cup of coffee and a treat. We would love to say hello, but there is no obligation to do anything, we are just glad you are here!

What should I wear?

At The Vine United Methodist Church, we want you to come as you are. Jeans and a t-shirt are totally normal. If you like to dress up more, that’s awesome too!

What is a typical service like?

A typical worship service is around 60 minutes long. We’ll start with music from the pianist and congregational singing, then the pastor will share a few announcements. Next, one of our pastors will share the message. Most services wrap up with a final song. You’re invited to stick around afterwards downstairs to grab a cup of coffee or some treats, or head out whenever you’d like.  Also, we offer Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome as this is The Lord's table and we are merely the stewards.

What do I do with my kids?

Kids and families are a huge part of The Vine United Methodist Church. That’s why we want to make sure your kids have access to learning about Jesus every Sunday! Kids are welcome!

Can I attend if I'm...?

Fill in the blank about whatever fear you have about not belonging here: divorced, previously incarcerated, broke, a skeptic, single parent, LGBTQ+, etc. The answer is yes. You belong here and you can come as you are. No matter what condition you find yourself in, you are a child of God, and are loved, and are welcome here. Our hope is that you can experience the love of Christ in this place.
